Stampin' Daisies Challenge!

Hellloooo Friday!  Are you ready to get your weekend on? :)  I am!

First, we need to have some fun!  Stampin' Daisies is starting bi-weekly challenges, beginning TODAY!  You should have arrived here via Jessica but if not, please go back to the beginning to see all the wonderful projects the wonderful design team has created!

Here are the details for the challenges:
  • Each designer will take a turn choosing a challenge.  This may include a sketch, color, themed, or well, basically whatever the designer wants to try :).
  • You will have one week (until 11:59pm PST) to link your project.  This means that submissions will close on the week in between challenges.  Make sense?
  • One winner will be chosen, at random, to win a selected Stampin' Daisies Stamp Set (and maybe more!)

This week our honorary DT member is Jessica from The Creative Stamper!
She decided to go with the sketch challenge below:

Here's my take:

Stampin' Daisies Stamp Release PAR-TAY!!!

Welcome to the Stampin' Daisies Stamp Release Party!  You should have started HERE with Monica, our fearless leader.  She's recently released an array of the cutest darn stamps!  There is something for everyone, with more on the way.

I used the Birthday Bash set to make today's card.

  This set is so fun and versatile, the possibilities are endless!  {And, EVERYONE has birthdays so you'll use it frequently :)}
My little 'popped-up' cupcake!

One of my favorite things about this set is the different sentiments that you can put together.  Love it!

Make sure you visit Stampin' Daisies to leave Monica some love about how wonderful her stamps are :)  {While you're there, you might as well order them!}  One lucky winner will win TWO sets of stamps!  For your chance to win, leave a comment on Monica's blog and for a second chance, leave a comment on the blogs of the design team.  EASY!

Make sure to stop back tomorrow for another project from Birthday Bash :)

Next up....Jessica!

"Thanks" E.A.D. Designs

I have a new addiction...E.A.D.   There are worse vices I know, but I have some mad love for their stuff!  My head is spinning with ideas for all the great stuff I ordered.  Here is my first project with their stickerz.

It's a really simple card but I think it turned about so adorable!  I love that you have so many choices when ordering (i.e. background color, sentiment color).

Materials Used:
  • Paper: Kraft, Mederterranian Blue, golden rod
  • Patterned Paper: Jillibean Soup
  • Twine: PinkPaislee Soiree
  • EAD stickerz: Thank you Sentiments
You'll be seeing lots of E.A.D. projects :)

School is (almost) back in session!

Every year, about this time, I shake my head in disbelief of how quickly summer escaped me.  You too, right?  It seems like just a couple weeks ago we were anxiously awaiting the snow to melt and here we are...{almost} back to school!  My {bigger} little beauty will be starting pre-school this fall (I've already stocked up on tissues, don't judge me-LOL!) and I have several teacher friends and family that will be starting up this next week already.

I'm a big fan of teachers for many reasons but mostly, it's because I had a few growing up that really helped me and changed my life.  (A big shout out to Ms. Hance, Mr. C, and Mr. Rose!)  There are a lot of people who seem to think that teaching is an 'easy' job or that they 'have it made' because they have summer's off.  Umm...have you see some of the kids today? LOL!!!
In all seriousness, they have a BIG job that most of us wouldn't, couldn't, or shouldn't do.  So, THANK you to all the teachers out there gearing up for another school year!

I wanted to make sure my teacher family and friends knew I was thinking of them, and praying for a successful school year so I made up some cute little favors to wish them well.

Here is the front of the gift card holder.  I attached the ribbon using the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher--I thought staples were fitting for school, no? :)

This is the first flap.

Ta-da!  Here it is all the way open.  The gift card is nice and snuggled inside :)

Materials:

Apple-Creative Memories Cheerful Seasons Cart.
EK Success ABC123 Punch
"Good Luck" stamp from the Dollar Bin
Ribbon from my stash
Paper:  Kraft, Red, two shades of Green, Yellow, Chocolate
Tim Holtz tiny attacher

I'm entering my project in the Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #25!
