Happy Valentine's Day, Rock Princess Style!

It's time again for Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday Challenge!  This week we're to use the Rock Princess cartridge, yay!  I love this cartridge but find I don't use it unless I'm creating something for my niece {she's 11}.

The cartridge seems to scream "TWEEN!" to me, LOL!  It only seemed fitting to create a Valentine for her for this challenge.  :)  {In July of last year I created a banner for her birthday with it as well, check it out HERE}.

She's a COMPLETE Lime Green NUT {and not so much into the pink} so I kept that in mind while making this.  It's also my first easel card, WOO-HOO!  Love them :)

The heart is on an Action Wobble, which you can now purchase from Scrappy Mom's!  YAY!

Materials:
  • Card Base-5x10 black cardstock
  • Heart Image-Rock Princess Cartridge (4 1/4")
  • Twine-Scrappy Mom's in Charcoal
  • Labels/Tags-Once Upon a Princess Cartridge (1 3/4" & 1 1/2")
  • Gems-I-rock jewels
  • PK Face Stamps- Happy Lashes
  • Glossy Accents-Black areas on the bow
  • Action Wobble
  • Sentiment-40:31 Creations
  • All other cardstock is from my scraps, YAY!

I'm entering this beauty in a couple challenges :)

Brush, Brush!!

I'm slowly, but surely, working my way through last years pictures, trying to get caught up in my layouts for 2011 {I said TRYING, LOL!}.
I think if I can stay only one year behind that's pretty good, no? :)

Here is single page layout I did for my daughter's first visit to the dentist.

I added a little bit of Stickles to the toothpaste, isn't it cute?!

I haven't decided if I'll color the tooth's tongue.  Do they have red tongues too? :)

I left this page pretty simple because the background paper seemed to get busy after I started messing with it.  Sometimes simple is best.  It's also the first time I used my Peachy Keen Stamps.  LOVE them!

Thanks for stoppin'!  See you tomorrow :)

i {heart} you-EAD Designs Color Challenge

Hey, hey!  It's FRIIII-DAY!  Woo-hoo!

My post for today is my submission for the EAD Designs Color Challenge.

The colors are so pretty, they remind me of my eyeshadow.  I totally wear all three of these colors, LOL! {Not at the same time, and no I don't look like a clown, he-he}

You still have time to participate as the challenge runs until January 26th.  Here's is what I came up with ...my first Valentine's Day card.  This one will probably go to the hubster.

Materials:
  • Card base: Birthday Bash (4.25" --it will fit in an A2 size envelope)
  • Hearts: Simply Charmed (1.75" and 1.5")
  • Baker's Twine

Sweet-TTC Scrappy Moms

Hello lovelies!  This is my second post for the day ...I know, I know, don't fall off your chair :).  I wanted to jump in and create something for the Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at Scrappy Mom's.  I LOVE their stamps.  No, I don't have any {yet} but hey, us SAHM's are on a budget, he-he.  They DEFINITELY are on my I-really-want-please-buy-them-for-me-for-my-birthday-or-just-because list {you have one of those, right?}.

This week was a Cartoon Challenge!  The only cart that I have that would qualify for this challenge is the Pooh Font.  BUT, it does have a few (very cute) characters on it so I went with it.  :)

See you tomorrow!

Barnyard Bash, YEE-HAW

Happy Tuesday!  Birthday-Prep is in full force for me as both of my little girls have their big day coming up (and within two weeks of each other! Who's idea was that? HA!)  My big is turning 4 and my little, 2.  Where the heck does the time go?

I was able to knock out the first round of invitations this weekend.  The hardest part is deciding what 'theme' (or not) to go with.  My almost-4 year old has started giving her input but the little one probably doesn't care much, LOL!

I decided to go with the Barnyard Birthday theme for her because she LOVES animals, especially those from the farm.

The Post-It note is just to cover my personal information :)

I made the little farmer girl in three colors (YAY for using scraps!) and added a touch of bling for her buttons.  {Both of my girls love sparkle just their momma!}  I needed to make sure it was simple enough to mass produce (20 to be exact), yet cute.  I do believe I succeeded!

Everyday PaperDolls is my go-to cartridge for this project.  I see many more barnyard-based projects in my future {and then after that, we move on to Mermaids ;) }

See you soon!

Sunny Days Ahead

I think 2011 was a rough year for a lot of people, including myself.  I do believe, however, that sometimes things have to fall apart so better things can come together.  So ...in my effort to relay that message in my crafting, I created this card.  It's going to a dear friend, so I can hope that it gives her a smile and little glimpse into her future :).

I usually leave the inside of my cards empty because I like to leave my own little handwritten message but I decided to add a little somethin' for this one. :)

I used THESE rub-ons from EAD Designs!  LOVE THEM!

DCWV Stack-a-holic Challenge

I'm so excited to be participating in my first DCWV Stack-aholic Challenge!  You can find all the details HERE.

I love this sketch!  It was really fun to re-create.

Here is my submission:

I added some dimension to all of my flowers.  It looks so cute!  I will journal on this page, as outlined in the sketch but I like to keep that as a special private message for my family. :)

Thanks for stopping!
